Then please join us in our community, where we really do care about you. We want you to make your computer your friend!

Sometimes using your computer can seem a little overwhelming.  There is so much to learn, and so many options.

The Web on Wheels can help you.

How can we help you?

We can teach you how to access the amazing world of the internet.

We come to you and guide you through, step-by-step on how to send emails, get onto the Internet, write letters.

You don’t need to attend lessons with a classroom full of other people.  You can learn just what you want to learn – at your own pace.

We can even set up a little camera on your computer (a webcam) so you can see and talk to friends and family around the world – perhaps even see your grandchildren!

What we offer you.

We teach you to use your own computer, in your own home. We also have this website, which is for people just like you.  It is an ‘online community’ for people who are building their computer confidence, and finding ways that the internet can help them in their everyday lives.

Teaching you to use your own computer:    We do this in two ways – either we come to your home in person, or you allow us access into your computer via the internet so that our computers are able to “talk” to one another.

The second option, known as remote access, is a strange concept for many people. But it allows us to sit at our computer in our office to show you, at your computer in your home, how to perform the tasks you really want to. It eliminates the need to travel, so it’s a very cost-effective method and very convenient.

We can’t access your computer until you give us a code and permission to come in and help you so it’s safe and totally secure.

Online Community:   This is our members area. It’s here we give you computer tips and hints, we publish regular newsletters and provide email support. We have “How to” videos and guides, show you what different sites have to offer, make suggestions to help you make using your computer easier, and a whole lot more.
